MMCU to MMGL (Feb 15th, 2009)  Mazatlan, Mexico to Guadalajara, Mexico

Just spent the day on the beach enjoying the Mexican weather.  Wonder if I drank a few Marg's?  Errr...right....Hell yea!

Cool picture I got of my plane between some Yucca Trees.

Bright vivid blue waters.

Looking good.  Got penalized for using my AutoPilot again....sheez.

Well not bad score for being penalized....at least it's not a zero.

Landing Score:80.94          Flight Score:87.63
Autopilot used.

MMMX to MGGT (Feb 18th, 2009)  Mexico City, Mexico to Guatemala City, Guatemala

Well our next mandatory stop was supposed to be Belize City, Belize, but check out the airport.  Trees everywhere on the runway...so we're flying to Guatemala City.

Nothing but Mexicana's on the flight line.

Cool looking odd buildings.  Mountains in the backdrop.

Landing Score:0.00               Flight Score:148.15  (Dang runway messed up again....)

MGGT to MSLP (Feb 19th, 2009)  Guatemala City, Guatemala to San Salvador, El Salvador

Another new proud sponsor to the tour.  Please welcome GOL airlines and the paint scheme.

Nice bright blue waters.

Gosh dang it...I'm getting sick of these runway problems....

Landing Score:0.00           Flight Score:138.13

Landing included the following problems:

  • Poor alignment with runway on ILS approach - line up and stay there.
  • Nowhere near the centre line - get lined up and keep it that way.
  • Poor steering after landing - stay on the centre line.

MGGT to MNMG (Feb 20th, 2009)  San Salvador, El Salvador to Managua, Nicaragua

Lots of American planes in El Salvador.

More bright blue waters.

Another city right on the final approach.  Crap-ola....off again, but guess Smitty was feeling sorry for me?

Landing Score:145.75           Flight Score:145.03  (Not bad...landing and flight almost the same)

MNMG to MROC (Feb 20th, 2009)  Managua, Nicaragua to San Jose, Costa Rica

I've heard great things about there beaches and mountains of Costa Rica.  Off to check it out.

Widebody 767 next to me.  And yet another American Continental 737 landing.

High country to negotiate coming into San Jose.

Nice landing....Come on Smitty.

Landing Score:134.65           Flight Score:133.83   (Consistency?)

MROC to MPTO (Feb 21st, 2009)  San Jose, Costa Rica to Panama City, Panama.

The country of Panama asked to send a team to fix a leak in the panama canal lock and dam system.  I just happened to be in the area, so I flew a massive team of engineers to fix the leaks.  Proud to say I got them all there without incidence!

Well there's me and Smitty pushing back from the gate.

Gears up and let's get to Panama.

Well, it's a little tough to tell from here where the leak is, but we'll figure it out.  Cool looking locks and dam's.

Flew too far down the runway and lost the glideslope, so a bummer number.

Landing Score:46.50                Flight Score:154.84

MPTO to SKBO (Feb 21st, 2009)  Panama City, Panama to Bogata, Columbia.

There's been some trouble in the coffee industry lately, and once again, the US has once again asked to send a team to Columbia and check out the coffee situation.  JoeMini WWT Tours will gladly obliged.  Talk about a rev'd bunch of people on coffee.  Well we'll give them something to think about with my flying skills.

Neat looking landscape above the Air New Zealand 747.

Getting up to elevation in a hurry.

Good God.....what a crappy landing.  All over the place...hang on people this will be close.

Landing Score:13.19           Flight Score:161.44

SKBO to SEQU (Feb 22nd, 2009)  Bogata, Columbia to Quito, Ecuador.

Going to try my luck with a high elevation airport of Quito, Ecuador.  Quito is located at 9228' feet MSL.  Landing at higher elevation airports can be fun.  We'll see.

2 whites - 2 reds.  Looking good.

How can I keep getting off when I'm lining up pretty good?  Guess it's about time to hit the eye doctors office soon.

Landing Score:108.80               Flight Score:134.53
