Hi -

Thanks for the suggestion! We hope to release our next detail pack very soon.

The Cessna 172 Detail Pack has proven very popular - it's nice to be able to offer extra detail in specific aircraft as an option as not all folks will use it.

Hi!

I'd like to vote for Realair's Duke B60. It's not in the poll list, but a couple of people have mentioned it in this thread and it's a great plane! I guess it's not very likely to be added because the plane is payware and then people would have to pay for the detailed treatment and the plane, so it would be a bit pricey!

I am looking forward to the FSR file being added though because I'm currently using the FSU file that someone kindly uploaded here.

I haven't gone through the entire forum so forgive me if you answered this already. But if I could think of one add-on that would be great it would be the ability to have a tab where you could input you own information that would create your own detail pack. There is a page to create an FSU for an aircraft, why not take it a step further and make one that you could just add in the information on your specific aircraft.

1. A section to enter the aircraft specific information which would create a folder for all the aircraft files, and a second folder for sound files.
2. A text file with generic file names to use in creating your own voice files, checklists, comments, ect. and a brief example of what the should files should contain. IE...

(aircraft name)_Preflight.wav for this file you should go through the list if items to check in pre-flight, if you want you can pause slightly to allow yourself to check the item or perform the action.

not sure how difficult this would be, but I think it would be somewhat less then creating the entire detail pack.

Hi -

Thanks for your feedback - this is an interesting idea.

The main thing working against it would be that different aircraft have a lot of different controls, systems, procedures of course and so we could only offer some very general "trigger points" at which certain things would be said or checklists would be available.

The other main point is that historically FSFS owners have not shown interest in recording their own voice files - we imagine it is viewed as just too much like hard work for most people and therefore folks don't appear to be doing it.

Detail pack would be good on some of the top selling addons that many have:
-Dodosim Bell 206
-A2A Piper Cub
-Aerosoft Katana 4X
-Baytower RV7
-Real Air Scout
-Real Air Turbine Duke
-Flight1 Cessna Citation Mustang
-Feelthere ERJ-135 & ERJ-145
-Feelthere Ejets (ERJ-175 & ERJ-195)
-PMDG 737NGX

These are all very popular and I have several I would use any I could in a detailed pack.

I think mostly these days people don't fly default aircraft very much when they have something better available, especially if they have purchased this software they are likely to have purchased one of the more popular 3rd party addons.

ps I don't mention Carenado because they have soo many planes if you pick just one you might not hit huge numbers of users. But the above aircraft are very detailed aircraft from developers that don't make as many, but are higher quality.

Hi Taipan -

Thanks for an impressive list.

Lots of potential ideas for us there - your input is very much appreciated. Some great looking planes for sure.

Oh - sorry - we don't do helicopters yet... but we'd like to soon!

Yes I can understand helicopters, that's a whole new ballgame!

Thanks for considering these planes.

Hi -

When we can get to them - choppers will be fun and a great challenge.

So much harder to fly well in FS than an airplane.

Hi. New user, loving FSFS, thank you.

In the existing options I chose the C182 as I have Carendano's C182RG. I also choose the Beechcraft Baron 58, but I meant the Duke 60, oops.

My request though if you wanted something different would be A2A's Spitfire. Forgetting that there's no room for an instructor in the cockpit, it could be fun with the instructor suggesting procedures but also monitoring engine temperature and general condition I thought. I don't know how possible that would be.

Just a thought. I'm using the C152ii pack at the moment.

Hi:

Thanks for your suggestions!

Based on these results (some of the planes have already been published as our Detail Packs of course) and also on our recent (still open) survey, the likelihood of the Cessna 182 and Beech King Air 350 looks very, very good.

Survey? Yes - I am about to write an announcement for it.

The survey offers a chance to win a $50 gift certificate at FSPilotShop.com!

If you have not already, you can take the survey here - please complete it just once - duplicate entries are removed.
