I have registered versions of Pro and Voice Command Pack for FSX. Everything was working great untilI installed the latest update V5.8. At that point I stopped getting instructions or responses back from the instructor.  I start up FSX and get into the cockpit before starting FSFS.  Headset  and mic are working fine.  I hear the "FS Flying School connecting" and the initial tips.  When I turn on the mic the confirming message that it's non shows up.  But I get no instructions and when I speak, all that happens in response is that I see  "Roger"  but that's it.

Has to be something simple.

Hi -

After the initial tips etc, do you get instructions from the instructor when you are just taxiing or flying (feedback not related to the microphone)?

No....none at all. In response to any of the command pack options all I see is "Roger". No audio response. No tips like to test my rudder or elevator that I was used to getting.

Hi -

This is not a general issue with the latest version as this is the first such report we have received, and so the clear conclusion is that it must be something unusual about your configuration.

Has something changed recently?

Different instructor in use?

Volume changed?

Different sound card?

Anything like that?

Just got it fixed.  Downloaded and re-installed the new estversion of fsuipc and that fixed it right away.  Very strange...  Glad to have it FSFS back.  I was starting to feel lonely up there.

Hi -

Very strange indeed - but - you have it working and that is a splendid result, as Mr Smith might say...

I am sure he'll be glad to hear that he was missed...
