This is probably nothing but thought I would mention it.  I copied the Briefing.exe to my fsflying school directory and ran it but could not load a pilot file.

Error: 9 - Subscript out of Range

Location: ParseFile

Is this because I have not flown any trips using the new 1.42 version of flying school..?

Not been flying for a while due to Xmas and New Year but thought I would kick back and try some this month.

Cookie,

The program should have worked fine with ALL versions of FSFlyingSchool pilot files. Hmm...

Can you email me the .htm files that are in your PilotRoster folder (usually C:\Program Files\FSFlyingSchool\PilotRoster)?

Thanks,
John.

Thanks for the files - we have been able to replicate the error and are looking at it.

Could you try putting a HTM file pilot log with more than 1 flight into the pilotroster folder and then run the briefing program again? Or you could just fly another flight (which would lead to you having 2 flights in your log) and then run the briefing program.

We think the error may be related to having just one flight in your log. We have to solve whatever the problem is of course, but we'd like to get your feedback anyway. Please let us know what you find.

Yes.  With a second flight in there I get

Not enough Data to analyze

Which is what we need in order to make comparisons I am guessing.  So maybe just need to catch the error and change the error to something that makes more sense I guess, Maybe some thing like..

how can we do a comparison with only one flight..!

Stephen:

Many thanks for the input - this accords with some of our results and we are moving forward with the resolution.

The briefing is a powerful addition to FSFS and does a marvellous job of focusing the mind on areas which need improvement.

We will be issuing a new version for testing within just a few days. Thanks for sticking with it.
