Hello,
Sometimes I see this:
Landing Score:0.00
Autopilot used.
Surely everyone is going to use auto pilot at somestage??
Why should I get a zero for using auto pilot?

| Hardcore: I'll ask that you have a look at the manual on this one. Remember you can launch the PDF manual from the Information Page within the FSFS2009 program and that you can use the search function in the manual (just press Ctrl F) - a great way to find things fast.  In brief - using the AP can cause a reduction in points, but it depends on the circumstances.  It will not reduce your score to zero - that must have been for some other reason.

Except I was looking at the exepctions
Light aircraft above 10,000 feet
Heavy aircraft above 5,000 feet
Shouldn't it be the other way around I mean alot of people would cruise in a cessna under 10,000

| HC: Here it is straight from the manual. I hope this helps. Note that the exception for lights is when cruising above one thousand feet, not ten thousand. Autopilot effect on scoring
If your aircraft has an autopilot and it is used for an appreciable period during your flight, your scores are
affected as follows:
Scoring AP Effect
Flight Reduced by 33%
Landing Reduced by 33%
Circuits Reduced by 33%
Airmanship Challenge No points
The exceptions to this rule are when:
- In cruise mode in a light aircraft above 1000 feet AGL
- In cruise mode in a heavy aircraft above 5000 feet AGL
In both these cases, no points are lost by having the autopilot engaged. This gives the pilot a chance to use the autopilot on long flights without losing points, but note that the aircraft must be significantly above the ground and must be in FSFlyingSchool’s Cruise Mode.
