Hello;
Recently came back to FSflightschool with X-plane from the 2020 version and went for the upgrade to 2021.
I fly VR so the voice pack pro was a no brainer; however when I turn it on in the settings wether it be ON all time or On when key stroked, and i Hit connect; the app crashes.
This is purely a problem with the 2021 version as I have the 2020 version still installed on my machine and it work fine when connecting...
Any help would be much appreciated!

Thanks for the information.
Glad to help - I am sure we can resolve this for you.
The error is related to audio equipment.
From your reported data the most likely cause is related to the selection of sound card at the settings screen of FSFlyingSchool.
Have you recently changed the sound card specified there? Is it different from what worked before?
If you have - please try different cards at that screen.
Do you hear sound played correctly when you press the 'Listen to instructor' button at the Pilots screen in FSFlyingSchool?
Do you have any add-on sound equipment such as USB headphones?
We find in the few cases where this error has been noted that it can be solved by either returning the configuration of audio equipment and software on your PC to a previous state (which can be as simple as, for example, plugging back in a USB headset which was previously plugged in) or if no audio equipment or software has changed please try FSFlyingSchool but change the settings for the sound card at the settings screen in FSFlyingSchool if you have more than one sound card listed - it will almost certainly work with only ONE of the cards listed.
Finally - you mentioned that 2020 works fine so it is likely that 2020 is set to use a different sound card to your 2021 installation - so... it is likely that if you change 2021 to use the card that 2020 uses it will work.

Hello;
Thanks for the response.
yes I had a feeling it was in relation to audio equipment so like that I did try and use differnt sound devices connected to my machine such as my monitor output or plugging headphones into the port on my pc's IO panel. This unfortunatley didn't resolve the issue it still crashed everytime before it even said "Flight School Connecting."
I then decided to open up FS flight school 2020 and copy all the settings exactly as they are there (as that version worked flawlessly) and to no avail!
I've uninstalled 2020 in case that was somehow clasing with 2021 and I also uninstalled and re installed 2021 to make sure it installed correctly!
Im pretty stumped at this stage... :S

Hi again - thanks for the report. 
1. I imagine an error message is displayed? What does it say exactly?
2. Which audio devices appear in the list at the settings screen of FSFlyingSchool 2021?
3. Which of those devices did you use with 2020 when it was working?
4. Which device was your microphone plugged into to when 2020 was working?

Unfortunately no error message; the program litterally just closes.
The way my current audio is setup on my pc is; it comes out speakers via a usb audio interface. This setup is what I have been running for the last 5 years or so and haven't ran into any issues with it! And like I said even 2020 ran fine on this exact setup!  
The microphone then is plugged into channel 1 on my audio interface which again I've never had any real issues with
I'm really quite puzzled!
Is there a crash log created anywhere I can look at?

Ok I'm Not sure exactly what I did apart from uninstalling and re installing for a 3rd time and its now working.... with voice? so Yay I guess....?  
A quick list of my sound cards at any rate are;
Behringer out 1-2 (This is my windows default and the one I used with FS fschool2020)
Behringer out 3-4
LG ultrawide monitor out
Headphones Rift Audio

I suppose installing with no FSFlyingSchool already in place worked based on the concept of starting fresh...
