Hi,

I want to train random engine failures on a PA44 in IMC. Is it possible to restrict the failures in FSflyingschool to engine failures only? Or for that matter set it to any single type of failures in order to train certain procedures over and over again?

If it is not possible now, could you implement it in a future release? I think it would be really useful!

Thanks
Berthold

Hi Berthold:

FSFlyingSchool certainly has a number of failures that will challenge the pilot with if the failures options are used within FSFlyingSchool, but there is presently no function to choose categories of failures.

I've made a note of your suggestion.

I think I may have good news (if you don't already use this feature) - your simulator will have a section for this built into the simulator.

Please let me know how you get on.

Hi,

Yes, I know that option, but the point is that I have to decide beforehand which engine is going to fail and when. That kind of takes away part of the challenge to quickly figure in IMC which engine is out and feather it before it drops below 1000rpm.

Thanks!

Hi Berthold:

My understanding, from Lockheed Martin, is that in P3D you can set random engine failures which occur at random to a random engine.

Is this not the case?

Not to my knowledge...
Unless it has escaped me until now. I will investigate...
Thanks for the hint!
Kind regards

Hi Berthold:

I just tested it in P3Dv4 - it certainly works.
