Loaded the plugin, placed the a/c at KORD, for the Demo version, found X-Plane, created the Flight Plan & saved it, and pressed CTRL + Shift + Q and nothing happened. Didn't really expect much from the load function.

Then pressed CTRL + Shift + P to start everything happening.

Nothing happened.

Did I miss something

Forgot to mention: Mac OS 10.12.6. X-Plane 11.25

Hi Peter:

Glad to help!

I have some questions...

>> Loaded the plugin

Are you describing the Position Aircraft X-Plane plugin?

FS Instant Approach 2019 is a separate application (rather than a plugin) - I need to be clear on what was done.

>> , placed the a/c at KORD, for the Demo version, found X-Plane,

Understood - you've told FS Instant Approach 2019 where XP is on your system - excellent - important step completed.

>> created the Flight Plan & saved it,

An approach was created in FS Instant Approach 2019 and saved.

>> and pressed CTRL + Shift + Q and nothing happened. Didn't really expect much from the load function.

We need to be sure that this was done when X-Plane was the application currently being used - with FS Instant Approach 2019 running but in the background.

>> Then pressed CTRL + Shift + P to start everything happening.

We need to be sure that this was done when X-Plane was the application currently being used - with FS Instant Approach 2019 running but in the background.

>> Nothing happened.

I take this to mean the aircraft was not relocated in any way.

Were any error messages displayed?

Please let me know and we'll soon have you up and flying those approaches.

Hi,
Yes, I am referring to the plugin and not the FS Instant Approach 2019 application. This plugin was already installed on my system.

Yes, X-Plane was the active application being used when CTRL + Shift + Q was used.

Yes, X-Plane was the active application being used when CTRL + Shift + P was used.

System alerts if those keys are pressed outside of X-Plane

There were no error messages displayed at all.

I took a look at the PositionAircraft log file which showed the following:
PositionAircraft - parsing pad file
PositionAircraft - pad file parsing successful

(this was repeated a number of times (10)
Plugin version is V1.20

Almost the same problem : (Mac High Sierra, X-Plane11-26)
I bought and installed the program without any problem. The "Position aircraft" plugin is installed and X-Plane 11 found. X-Plane is running and an aircraft ready to fly.
The program tells me that the Fs instant approach file is saved : but ctrl-shift Q and P do nothing...
If I try to manually load the flight, I find no flight at all .

Could tell me where the flight file is saved, and in which format (which extension) ???

Thank you in advance,

Chepses

I have found a solution :

Fs instant approach correctly send the flight file to the "Position aircraft" plugin. So, you go in X-Plane to that plugin control center where you see the correct data, and then you click the "position" button in this control center : the plane is therefore correctly set in X-Plane.

In fact, the shortcuts of the manual don't work ...

And that is exactly what I was coming back here to say about my problem.
The PAD file is created by FS Instant Approach and if the Plugin is launched from within X-Plane it is possible to load the PAD file.
Hitting the Position button takes the aircraft to the designated airport and to the designated approach initial position..

The "Short Cuts" do nothing at all.

I wonder if there are any other Mac users with the same problem

Not sure if I have this right, but isn't there supposed to be some dialog between the Instructor and the Pilot.

Think I got that idea from the "Watch the video of FS Instant Approach" from the front page of the .org
