Hello,
I'm running with Windows10 and I use the last FSUIPC (Steam ed.) and my Wilco TiltRotor goes well.
FSInstantApproachpro 01-2013 works correctly with FSX or with FSX-Steam Edition.
I have bought the new FSFlyingSchool Pro 2015 and I can't connect it [ runtime error: 2147023728 (80070490) automation error ] with FSX or with FSX-Steam Edition
Any idea to repair the problem ?

Hi Nickleby:
We find in the few cases where this error has been noted that it can be solved by either returning the configuration of audio equipment and software on your PC to a previous state (which can be as simple as, for example, plugging back in a USB headset which was previously plugged in) or by changing the selected sound card at the settings screen of FSFS.
Please let me know how you get on.

| My system uses a REALTEK HIGH DEFINITION AUDIO driver x64 bit. I try to rei-nstall once more the R.79 (latest) but nothing changes. When I try to connect FSFlyingSchool Pro 2015 I recieve the same Runtime error [2147023728(80070490) automation error ]. An other idea to repair it ?

Hi:
Does the error occur immediately when you launch FSFS or only when you press 'connect'?
If not immediately - then can you see if at the settings screen 'Voice command status' is ON or KEY? If it is please set it to OFF for now and then try to CONNECT.
If the error appears immediately when you start FSFS, please send the settings.ini file from your FSFlyingSchool folder (where you installed it) to support@FSFlyingSchool.com and we will look at it and move on from there.

Hello,
The approach part run ok
When I choose a flight-plan and try to connect, the error message appears, FSFlying School freeze and shut down immediatly. During this time, My FSX and/or FSX-Steam goes well .

Hi:
The problem is with sound configuration.
Can you see if at the settings screen of FSFS 'Voice command status' is 'ON' or is 'KEY'? If it is please set it to 'OFF' for now and then try to CONNECT.

Hello
I can give you some new informations with "command voice"
ON => runtime error
Key => runtime error
OFF => OK! I can see the instructions in the top red line (ex. unknown aircraft).
Some new idea ?

We're making progress!
If Voice Command is ON or KEY then it expects a microphone attached to the sound card which is indicated at the settings screen of FSFS.
I need to know - if it is OFF and you don't get the error...
1. When you press connect do you hear "FSFlyingSchool connecting..."?
2. Do you hear the instructor talking after you press connect and do a few things in FSFS?

Hello,
If command voice mode ON => runtime error and noboby speaking
KEY => runtime error and noboby speaking
OFF => if I choose a flight plan it's OK I can see the green band and I heard 2 people speaking about the general instructions.
Did we move forward in resolving the error message ?

Hi Nickleby:
OK - this is more progress.
We now know that the program will run fine if the Voice Command feature is NOT being used.
The error relates to sound hardware on your PC.
In almost every case the problem is either:
(a) FSFlyingSchool is using the wrong sound card on your PC - this can be solved by selecting a different sound card at the settings screen of FSFS.
(b) The sound devices such as USB headphones on your PC have been changed since they were used in a previous session with FSFS - such as using FSFS with USB headphones plugged in and then unplugging them and running FSFS again. FSFS will expect the sound device to be as it was before and if it is not - problems can occur.
Can you try (a) and if that does not solve the error then let me know what may have changed with your sound equipment.
