OK, me again.

Running FSIA 2021 v1.0.0 trying to setup approach to Blackhawk (Wisconsin) airport 87Y. When I Connect I get "Error: 11 - Division by Zero" "Location: SetInitialPosition"

I can connect fine with Madison KMSN and Green Bay KGRB. I am running FSIA as Admin.

I'm running MSFS 2020 rel 1.26.5.0, it's a vanilla installation with not much added content, (waffle words there...)

When I got the error there was a choice to submit it to FSFlyingSchool which I went ahead and did.

Hope you can puzzle this out! Thank you!!

Hi Ross:

Thanks for your detailed report - excellent work.

Sorry to hear about this issue with FS Instant Approach!

A small number of users have experienced an issue with airports which have identifiers which are just 3 characters in length.

Almost all have 4 characters of course, but those with 3 can potentially cause an error it seems.

We are looking to find/create a solution for this and will keep everyone posted of course!

Hi Jeff,

Any update on the three letter problem? I have yet to get any three character airports to work on instant approach. The error is the same as the opening post. Most of my instant approaches are into small airfields with the three characters.

Regards,
Brian

Hi Brian:

This one has been a real tangle to solve, but we are 'on final'!

I hope to have a new update out shortly that will solve it for us all.

I don't have a date, but will try to get it out soon - and will of course announce it here - and in our mailer.

Thanks for your enthusiastic interest and - have a great weekend of flights!
