Approaching any runway from over the land is OK. When the program loads I'm in the correct place, altitude and distance. When I hit the pause button I commence the descent OK.

When I try the same thing from out at sea, the program loads and all seems OK. However, when I press the pause button I see splash and the aircraft has crashed and is in the sea.
I then drop out of Instant approach and return to my original ground position.

Some of my favorite approaches are over the sea to coastal airports.

Very frustrating.Any help, comments etc would be appreciated

Jim

Hi Jim:

This is a puzzle - can you give me some details and try the following...

1. Which version of FSUIPC are you using? Please download the very latest from http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html

2. Flight Simulator version?

3. Which version of our software are you using?

Hi
Still testing various airports on land approaches then sea approaches. Every approach I've tried is OK on land but the only time I had success from sea was at Changi singapore (WSSS). I set the distance out at 3Nm and successfully landed. I pressed L and resumed my approch position. As soon as I pressed pause, I crashed back into the sea.

Details
Flight simulator X Gold edition which includes
Flight Simulator X Deluxe
Flight Simulator X Accelaration pack

FSUIPC version 4.8.6.0

Instant Approach PRO v2.o.o

Hope this helps

Jim

Hi Jim:

This is puzzling. Can we try these steps please?

1. Download and install the latest FSUIPC 4.9.2 from the link I gave earlier. This may help and it is always best to have the latest version as Peter is always improving it.

2. Try at least 2 other powered airplanes - please make them standard FSX planes, not add-ons. Let's see if that makes a difference.

3. What happens if you first put the plane in the air in FSX and fly for a few seconds so that you know that engines are running etc. and then you use FSIA to "connect" and put the plane where you actually want it, in the air over the water? I am wondering if being airborne and moving etc. will make a difference on your PC for some reason.

Please let me know how you get on.

Hi

After trying all your suggestions etc I have found a way to make it work. I MUST START IN THE AIR. On approach I land and do a touch and go. When I'm airbourne again I press L and all is OK and Im back at the beginning of the approach. When I press Pause I'm successfully on my way down to the runway.

However, the passengers never get to the terminal, but this is not a problem, they can just enjoythe ride.

Thanks

Jim
