I downloaded and registered FS Instant Approach last week and installed FSUIPC 4.853. But I have been having all sorts of problems. The main problem is that it is taking several minutes before I can fly the plane. The screen resolution changes several times, but if I leave it nothing else happens. Eventually after clicking on the FSX icon, the cockpit view appears, but sometimes there is a problem with the graphics. I understand that this should all happen in seconds. I have never had problems with FSX before and I have a reasonable spec for my computer and I am running Windows 7. Any suggestions?

Hi Peter:

Sorry to hear this. This is most unusual.

Are you using any add-on scenery, planes, traffic, mesh, weather or anything else we might need to consider?

Thanks for the reply.

The most recent add ons I have installed are Discover Great Britain and VFR Real Scenery England and Wales. But I do have FS Discover and I have found that no longer works - I get a fatal error when I try and load a flight plan within it. Could there be a conflict there? I also have Balaeric Islands X, Discover USA, Ultimate Terrain X Europe and USA.

Hi Peter:

There are a lot of different programs and data involved here - it would be very difficult to determine which one is conflicting.

As you can imagine, while FSIA works great with FSX and FS2004, we cannot predict its performance with every possible combination of add-ons, versions, configurations etc.

It may be that the only solution is to uninstall it and contact our sales@FSFlyingSchool.com

I would like to have different news, but at present I have no technical advice beyond this.

Thanks for your help

I will experiment and see if I can work out what's stopping it working.
