Hi,

Oké thanks, I understand.

Just want things too quick!

Found this at bottom page: http://www.navigraph.com/www/fmsdata.asp

The 0609 demo cycle for PMDG and LevelD products is available free of charge here, for quality checks and compatibility testing. Questions, comments and feedback should be posted in the Navigraph Support Forum.

But can there be an possibility in it for people who want to use an more updated version that they buy an new version airac ????

So I leave it all up to you now.

Good luck with it !

Robert

Note that there are other more expensive training products available for flying STARS, in addition to various kinds of procedures. But it would be nice to have this program flying just STARS (approaches) to train in a more realisrtic manner. I am sure there are free databases around, since other programs use them - and who cares if they are not up-to-date?

BTW I problem I found (and that is probably not caused by this program but by FSX) is that with a strong side wind (say 20 knots), the autopilot always lands the plane (say a Baron 58) alongside the runway. I haven't tried it with big sophisticated planes like the PMDG NGX 737, which can in principle correct for wind if it is programmed in the CMU, but I presume that the problem would be the same if one just turns on the autopilot without programming the CMU, since the plane would not know what the wind is.

Hi Henri:

The autopilot issue certainly has nothing to do with FSFS or FSIA - I wonder if anyone else on the forum can help?

Is it possible to make a feature for insertion by waypoint ??

So from there you can select a STAR in FMC and fly it.

This way your program FS Instant Approache does not need any kind of AIRAC cycle.

Hi Robert:

I think I understand you to mean that the user could indicate that the flight should start at a specific waypoint within a flight plan which has been loaded by the user into FSX?

If so the starting altitude would come from the waypoint and the starting heading would be computed so that it pointed at the next waypoint.

If this is what you are describing - yes - this is something we are looking at!

If this is not what you are describing - can you expand your question in more detail please?

Yeh that's right !

The user could choose a waypoint that is before a STAR for insertion!

Then he can choose a STAR from the FMC and fly it!

That way the program does not need an AIRAC cycle at all.

Look at the example:

LAMSO 1A STAR

Last waypoint is BUKUT

Hi Robert:

It's been a busy productive year with all our products getting new versions including of course FSIA which has gone 'PRO' - this was a very successful and popular enhancement of the product.

We've not yet added the features we discussed of course and would love to soon and will of course post any details we can about features and release dates here.

It's been a long time of course, but I hope we'll get there soon.
