Hi!

First of all, here is the info indicated as required elsewhere in the forum:

I had FS Flying school v 1.8 installed previously but uninstalled it before installing the latest demo version of FSFS Pro. I had the same problems with version 1.8.

I have not registered FSFS Pro, but hope to if I can sort out these two problems.

I am running Windows 7 Ultimate, 64 bit, SP1; and FSX v 10.0.6137; and FSUIPC v 4.20 (unregistered).

4 Gb RAM; Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600@ 2.4 GHz; ATI Radeon HD 5970 with 1 Gb VRAM.

I only ran Gamebooster before FSX. I have REX installed but did not run it. No other addons were running.

The problems:

1) If I set the volume at normal, the instructor is way too loud. If I make the instructor normal volume, I can't hear anything else.
2) Depending on the aircraft, and I have tried the C172, Piper Cub, and Douglas DC-3, I either have no control from the start, or lose control shortly after take off. The plane will veer to the right and descend slowly with the rudder and ailerons hard left and elevator full back (up). No adjustment of the trims will prevent this. If I don't run FSFS Pro, the planes fly normally.

Help please!

Don

Hi -

This is a very odd puzzle -strange effects indeed.

I can only imagine that 'back to basics' is the place to start, so I would recommend:

- Make sure you are running the latest free download demo of FSFS Pro... v 5.7.8 or higher.

- Don't run ANYTHING else except FSX and FSFS Pro.

- Download and update FSUIPC to version 4.80 or higher (this is free).

- Is your FSX SP (service pack) 2 or higher? If not, you may wish to consider updating it.

- You may improve you sound if you adjust the sounds of the other channels within FSX (such as engine, voice, etc) OR you might try having FSFS Pro sound directed through a different sound card which you can choose at the Settings Screen of FSFS Pro.

Please let me know how you get on.

Hello again. I have not been able to find FSUIPC above version 4. Should I be going to: http://www.schiratti.com/dowson.html or somewhere else?

Hi Don:

Please download and install FSUIPC version 4.80 from that address.

In summary version 4.??? is for FSX and version 3.??? is for FS2004. But Peter releases new versions frequently and so it is difficult for us to cite an exact version number.

Whatever the situation, it is always best to use the latest version of FSUIPC.

OK. Will do. And I'm running FSX 10.0.61637.0 with FSX-Xpack 20070926-1421.

Thanks,

I installed the latest FSUIPC and all is well. I also bought and installed the latest FSFS and went for my first flight. I had to move all the sliders under sound to the far right in order to match the volume of the FSFS instructor. It would be better to have more control, but it looks like I'm off to the races!

Thanks for your help. I think I'm going to have fun with this and hopefully improve my flying while I'm at it!
