Hello,
I have voice attack and a voice pack installed for MSFS which works very well, particularly useful I find, is the use of voice controls to work ATC. I understand FSFlying school comes with voice control now, however can this interact with ATC out the box or is it programmable at all to perform the same function. If not would it work in conjunction with voice attack please?
I really want voice control for ATC commands and instructor interactions.
Appreciate any advice thanks.

Hi Morris:
Glad to help - it sounds like you have an interesting set up!
FSFlyingSchool Voice Command has a specific set of commands to which it will respond. They allow the pilot to tell the instructor various intentions and produce very detailed FSFlyingSchool information about the current flight, waypoints etc - they are not programmable and do not interact with ATC.
The Voice Command Pack states that the user should not use any other voice software at the same time, but the good news is that if you wish you can of course try it all out, on your own PC, for free, for as long as you like, with the free demo...

Thanks for the reply SquadronLeader.
Yes I am finding the use voice commands very useful. I really only use it for communication based actions and want to limit the uses of a keyboard and mouse as much as possible.
So I downloaded the demo thanks and have given it a quick run through. For some reason I just can't get the voice command part to work. The menu won't allow me to select a status for it somehow. Any advice would be much appreciated. I have tried making sure nothing else is running but no luck.
Only had a quick trial without the voice command but found it very impressive indeed.

At the settings menu of FSFlyingSchool there is a
Voice Command... Status
dropdown list box - is this what you are describing?
This controls when it will listen to you - are you saying you cannot alter its values? This is very puzzling as there is basically nothing controlling it - you just pick the setting you prefer.
Please let me know.

Hello,
Thanks again for your response, yes the drop-down box doesn't appear to be operating. It appears to be greyed out. I tried playing with the sound card selection, but no luck when changing this.

1. Are you using the FSFlyingSchool demo inside the demo area?
2. Was FSFlyingSchool launched after you got into a plane in Microsoft Flight Simulator?
3. Is FSFlyingSchool "connected" to Microsoft Flight Simulator?
4. What happens when you launch only FSFlyingSchool without Microsoft Flight Simulator running and attempt to change the Voice Command Status setting?
