Hello! I recently moved where FSFS and FSIA were installed on my Win 10 PC. They had been installed in the FSFlyingSchool folder the standard install defaults to at the C:\ level, inotherwords:
C:\FSFlyingSchool2022\

It worked fine there but as I often can't leave well enough alone I wanted to have those apps in the C:\Program Files\ folder instead. So I deleted the original installs and reinstalled this time creating a folder within Program Files:
C:\Program Files\FSFlyingSchool2022\

The program actually runs fine and I did check the checkbox in Properties to run it as admin. But every time I launch I get the User Account Control pop up "Do you want to allow this app from an unknown publisher to make changes to your space heater?"

My UAC setting is at the default recommended 2nd click down.

Just sort of a little annoying and I can live with it but is this happening due to the apps being in the Program Files sub-folder? In which case I'll just reinstall.

Cheers!

- Ross

Hi Ross:

Good to hear you have things up and running!

We have the default installation folder set to one that is unlikely to cause issues on the PC.

The products can be installed anywhere which is convenient, but installing in Program Files can lead to issues, depending on the security settings on the PC.

Have a great week of flights!
