I am using FSFS P3D with Radar Contact and find it a little inconvenient having the microphone on/off button to be the 5 key as this has uses in RC, and the ATC people get a bit angry while I try to sort out the messes I get into.

Is it possible to remap the action of the 5 key in FSFS to another key or even a joystick button?

It would be a big help if possible.

Thanks ,

John

Hi John:

That is something that has been mentioned to us before and we will try to get an alternative into the next release of FSFS. There is no facility in FSFS to allow the user to change key mappings, so it will be determined by the program. We will try to get the next release out soon!

Hi SL,

Thanks for your reply.

After I had written my original enquiry I realised I could use FSUIPC to map the 5 key to a joystick button, which I managed to do very easily.

So for me the problem is solved, but I do use the "paid for" version of FSUIPC so may not work for those running the basic version.

Thanks again,

John

PS I have just realised that RC still recognises the joystick button being pressed as key5, so there is still interference. Not as simple as I thought!

Hi John:

Not so simple sadly...

I know this is obvious... but is it possible to remap the key in RC?
