Stan.
Go ahead and try it out. Its really addictive. Its so cool to be able to talk to Smith and friends, instead of the "old fashioned" one-way communication.

Hello!
I have a question regarding the voice command pack. If you use the voice command pack for talking to the instructor, would it conflict with another program that you use to speak directly to ATC?
I don't have either yet, but it's something I'm looking into and ideally I'd like to make sure I get an ATC voice recognition program that plays nicely with your one.
Thanks,
Mark

| Mark: This is a very good question! As there are so many different add-ons and so many different versions of Windows, versions of FS, hardware configurations, etc. we generally advise the following... Try our free demo of whatever it is you are thinking about in your FS project. That way you can be certain it really does work with your personal set up and hardware etc before buying anything. What I can say is that you'd almost certainly need to use the "mic key" in FSFS ("5") so that you would press one button to talk to the add-on ATC and another to talk to your FSFS instructor. If they were both listening at the same time it would get very confusing and would not be realistic either. As to whether there would be an insurmountable harware conflict of some sort - I simply cannot comment - try demos of the software and see what you find and only when you are quite satisfied, consider getting out the hard earned cash.

- and if I might add one thing here
Whatever you find, when trying the free demo, that be something working flawless together, or maybe programs definitely not playing together with the voicepack, then please drop a line here in the forum, so others may benefit from your wisdom

Thank you for your replies and for the information! At least all these companies do provide a demo period, which is always a good sign....shows they have confidence in their product....just like you guys!
I shall certainly report back on my findings...good or bad!
