| Hi! I am thinking about buying fsflyingschool, but I have a easy question first: The default FSX has a protection that won't let you deploy flaps/gear above the max speed. Does fsflyingschool disables this annoying protection? or there is anyway of disable it? With this protection its harder to have a failure with fsflyingschool.... Thanks in advance, Pringliano

| Pringliano , "I am thinking about buying fsflyingschool, but I have a easy question first:" Glad to hear you're thinking about buying the software. "The default FSX has a protection that won't let you deploy flaps/gear above the max speed. Does fsflyingschool disables this annoying protection? or there is anyway of disable it?" We don't know of anything in FSX that completely STOPS you from exceeding flap speeds, etc. Which aircraft were you using when you experienced this? Or perhaps you're talking about the on-screen text warning messages that pop up in FSX? The switch for these is in Settings > Realism. There is a check box at the top marked 'Display flying tips'. It is this that is giving you the on-screen warnings while you're flying in FSX. While you're flying this is available from Aircraft > Realism Settings Hope this helps you out.

It doesn't stop the airplane from exceeding the airspeed, but it stops the gear/flaps from extracting. For example in cessna 172, If I am at 190 IAS and deploy 10º flaps, the flaps will only be deployed at around 155 Knots IAS. I have the realism maxed up in the sim.. Thanks for the reply, Pringliano

| Pringliano: Perhaps the best way we can answer your question is to say that FSFlyingSchool does not prevent gear or flaps being extended at the wrong speed. The pilot is advised, verbally, by the instructor, that he/she is doing the wrong thing, and will lose points in overall flight scores and landing scores if gear or flaps are used at the wrong speeds. In addition, it is possible for the pilot using FSFlyingSchool to cause flaps and gear to fail by using them incorrectly. I hope this information helps and I hope you try the demo - you can get a good feel for all this with the demo as you are only restricted to flying near Chicago. All the other features of the program are in the demo, except that you cannot submit your scores to the web.

| Hi! Thanks for your reply! I have already tried the old demo in fsx and liked it. But it had some minor issues that you sure had addressed. I will try the new demo. And try to figure out if it's only me that have that "protection" with the default fsx. Pringliano
