Apparently I'm in a spot of bother with the Australian Aviation wallahs. Remember that "near miss I had the other day? Well apparently he was on finals into Dangley Creek cattle ranch farm strip. How was I to know----it's not marked in my copy of the world atlas I purchased at Sydney Airport when I arrived. I knew I should have bought the World Atlas from W.H Smith before I left, it was on offer as well. Oh well.....as they say here in Oz, no worries sport!

Biggles is in a maudling mood:

..     I was rummaging through and old chest of drawers at home shortly before the start of this tour & came across this photograph. It certainly brought back memories of when I was a little boy and I used to spend hours at the local airport at the very spot marked on the photograph.

I remember, the local CFI used to say to me “Biggles, my boy, one day you to will fly an aeroplane just like that one over there” he pointed in the general area of the dispersal. He was correct, my day has come. The only trouble is I was looking at the larger of the two aircraft at the time and I’ve ended up with the little yellow Cubbie with the Biiiig tundra tyres.

Never mind, back to the present. Left Coffs Harbour (YSCH) yesterday, hardly a cloud in the sky, what. As usual Kev & Henrietta are sharing the back seat, yes I know it’s a bit of a squeeze, but needs must aaahhh  hmmm ! The next hour was to change my view of life down under.

Excuse me for now H. wants a cup of Rosie Lea (thats cockney rhyming slang for cup of tea)

Anyway , as I said, It was such a lovely

day we decided to stop off for a swim. Big mistake! No sooner had we changed into our bathing attire, well that goes for Henrietta & I, Kev, being a Aussie bounder, just stripped off and ran into the sea, no attire you see.

Where was I? Ah yes, no sooner than caught a site of Kev’s hairy b###nd than these two white Land Rover thingies appear from nowhere. Would you believe it, Australian Border Control, accused me of smuggling illegal

immigrant into the country.

" Sir, I said I am James Bigglesworth II, how dare you accuse me of such a dastardly deed." I turn to H.—but she is nowhere to be seen, neither is Kev for that matter. My attention is drawn to the second 4x4 where I can see two people being bundled into the back seat. “Here, I say, that man has no clothes have you no decency my man”. I had forgotten that we are in Australia. With that they drove off leaving me to my own devices.

Strange things happen in this country.

But waste not want not, I’ll go for a paddle before making some lunch. I read the card that the Aussie buffoon had thrust in my hand.

Lismore Penitentiary

Whaaaaat -- Biggles you've got your work cut out this tome, old boy. Hang on Lismore my next stop, no worries then!

Felix, friend of Biggles and employee of that well known most secret organisation has arrived & is

on a mission

"Golly, what a nice Dak" - I'll just wait here a while thinks Biggles.

Not long now, but little does Biggles know that he is being watched by that same man a in a grey suit. "Now where have I seen you before?" thinks Biggles

Felix has done it again - we are the terrible three once again. After a quick stopover at on the Gold Coast its Brisbane next stop, the home of Fosters lager.
