Yes it was very interesting, saw and got to do everything from running large Monte Carlo computer codes (on Unix systems) for the shielding calcs through to radiation dosimetry during the commissioning phase and all the operational radiation safety once the facilities were handed on to the end users. Typical facilty costs wer £150-200M so you can imagine in the current economic climate government funds are hard to come by.

Cheers

Hi all,

I'm nearing 50, am boringly happily married to Lucy, and I've worked in IT most of my life.

I live NE of San Francisco California, on the Pacific coast of the US.  Within a hour's Skyhawk flight of home, I can tour many temperate zone areas - ocean and bay, marsh, mountains, plains, forests, major cities, small towns, and a vast farmland.

I'm currently virtually broke, having spent many thousands of virtual USDs on virtual ILS systems at many of my local virtual airports all in a vain effort to impress Smitty and Ms. Avatrix into boosting my woeful landing scores.

Thanks Fenric.

You sound just like me, apart from the name, the location, the line of work, name of wife, and a few other things. But the age is just about right (Im 45) and happily married to Charlotte the one person I could not do without at all... sigh!

Hi All,

My name is Eddie I am 62 years old, and I live with my wife and dog in Walsall in the West Midlands UK.  Besides flying FSX I also enjoy photography and fly fishing. I have worked for the NHS as an administration clerk for the past 3 years. before that I was in business as a freelance photographer for 18 years supplying images to newspapers and magazines. And before that I spent 22 years in the army.

It's a good landing if you can still get the doors open.

Welcome to the FSFS Clan!

You must be near RAF Cosford? Are you going to the Flight Simulation show SAT SUN AUG 28 & 29 (Bank Holiday Weekend)?

Hello SquadronLeader sir,

I wasn't planning to go, but since you mention it sir I think I might do just that.
