Is nobody else put off by the British accent of the instructor?

Is there any way to select another voice, like a Swedish lady, for example?

Hi jschall

Mr. Smith is the default voice in FSFS and the most popular one as far as I can see from the forum posts. The default voice in a team of talking instructors.

See this:

From the frontpage on FSFS site.

Talking Flight Instructors (note the "s" for plural)

From the manual page 19

FSFlyingSchool Instructors (again plural)
FSFlyingSchool gives you the unlimited services of several different FSFlyingSchool instructors. The
role of the instructor is to praise good work, give you flying tips, tell you immediately whenever you do
something wrong, score your performance in several areas, record what you did in your log book and
much more.
You choose from an eclectic team of male and female instructors, each with their own personality,
nationality and style.

From the FSFS main window

On the "pilot" tab see "Pilot Mr. Smith" with an obvious clickable drop down menu button revieling more names - more instructors, more voices!

Have your pick!

Happy flying

I've become very fond of Mr. Smith. I would prefer a swedish lady for a stimulation simulation.

Stephen.

Would you prefer her to actually speak Sweadish? or just the accent - something like Jamie Lee Curtis in "Trading places" the old movie with Dan Akroyd and Eddie Murphy?

If´s the first choice, perhaps I could do an intire voiceset. Im a Danish man, but I could act.....

Have you tried out Ms.Aviatrix? The only female voice right now? Shes great when you get to know her.

Happy flying

This is a most amusing forum topic.

I have to say - I rather like MrSmith - perhaps it's his enigmatic panache...

Ole's right - there are 5 instructors to choose from as explained in the manual.
