Have X-Plane 11 current version. On Windows 10 Home current updates. No AV/AM software installed.

Start X-Plane to 172SP at KGRB on the runway. Ready for take off.

Switch over to FSFS. Click Connect.

FSFS audio is hearding "Connecting"

X-Plane text output shows FSFS connecting just fine.

FSFS window changes to a textbox over a textbox.

FSFS crashes and goes away. Returned to X-Plane with no FSFS.

Task Manager show FSFS is not running.

X-Plane logs show no mention of FSFS.


PC is well apt to run X-Plane and FSFS with 16g of RAM and an AMD Ryzen chip...

Did an uninstall and reinstall. Same result.

Glad to help - I am sure we can solve this.

Firstly - please make sure this has been done exactly as described in the installer program...

IMPORTANT! FSFlyingSchool should always be run 'as an administrator'.
You should do this even if you are the only person who uses the PC and even if you are an administrator.
To do this, right click on the FSFlyingSchool icon, shortcut or menu item you use to launch FSFlyingSchool, select
'Properties' from the menu, select the 'Compatibility' tab, and turn ON 'Run this program as an administrator'.

We will get our fastest result if we can see what this is.

Can you record what is shown with a phone perhaps and upload the movie? In this way, even if the data or error is shown for a split second we will be able to see it.

If not please take a screen shot (just press the Print Scrn key) at the moment the data is displayed and send that to us.

To send us a screen shot, press the Print Scrn (print screen) button on your PC keyboard to capture the entire screen and then PASTE that information into an email to

support@FSFlyingSchool.com

To PASTE the screen capture, simply press Ctrl V while typing in the body of an email to us. The email will need to be in HTML format (not plain text).

Please send the email containing the screen shot which you send to us, to yourself as well, so that you can see if the screen shot is correctly shown in the email and that it is readable and clearly shows the problem you are experiencing.

Yes, running as Administrator.

Will upload a screenshot this evening. It is the same activity each time so it is repeatable and not a one-time issue. That is good news (somewhat.) . I'm a Developer so feel free to ask the hard questions.
