Why are all the manuals in the directory for the 2013 version of this app? Has nothing changed? I still do not see any teaching scenarios in the product or the manual. Maybe I am just not looking at the right place. Please advise

Hi Dlocke:

Thanks for your interest in FSFlyingSchool.

As you can see there are 18 manuals included - 1 main, 2 for the voice commands and 15 for the aircraft detail packs.

If an aircraft detail pack has not changed since its publication, it is not reprinted, so, for example, the Beaver Detail Pack, published in 2016, has "2016" in its title.

We are constantly working on FSFlyingSchool itself, but we are not constantly changing the aircraft detail packs, unless of course they are found to contain faults.

This is explained on page 2 of the product manual. The product manual is a good place to start.

The main goal of FSFlyingSchool is to provide instructors who will fly with you anywhere in the world and evaluate your performance in over 70 different areas with fully recorded details.

As P3D itself comes with a set of lessons, we have not duplicated them, but rather have provided a much greater level of detail in the analysis of airmanship.

The problem with the P3D lessons is that they can only be performed in the location they are scripted for. They also make no attempt to specifically record what the pilot did wrongly and do not begin to analyse the pilot's performance in anywhere near the degree of detail that FSFlyingSchool uses; but they do give you lessons.

Our pilots have found that both systems complement each other well.

Novices can learn the basics of how to taxi, take off and land using the P3D lessons and then start flying with FSFlyingSchool.

If you really want a challenge, try flying the P3D lessons with FSFlyingSchool running at the same time. You will effectively have 2 very chatty instructors up there with you and things will get very busy, but rising to the challenge is a whole world of fun.
